Happy Birthday to ME! I can't believe I'm 27 today... its sad to say that I feel old, when in reality I'm still rather young. I've started to notice lines around my eyes and I'm trying really hard not to be vain about it. It sooo isn't like me to care to much about my appearance, I always so "As long as I'm comfy that's all that matters", so I'm going to try real hard to not let it bother me. I mean they're only noticeable if I'm smiling, so I'll just cut smiling out of my life and all should be good. Perhaps that's why Victoria Beckham (sp?) doesn't smile, she doesn't want the world to see her crows feet!!! Anyhow...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Mascara Commercials
I was watching TV last night, which in itself is a rarity, and a mascara commercial came on. The commercial was stating that if you buy this product your eyelashes will look like false lashes. Now they show the woman's, I'm sorry models, eyelashes before and after. OK, if mascara not only made your eyelashes double in amount and grow in length women everywhere would be using this product!!!!
Question: How does mascara do that?
So... I'm sitting, watching, and thinking! (Dangerous!) Do the producers of this commercial honestly believe that we don't know that the before shot is of women with "normal" false eyelashes on, and that the after shot is of the woman with the false lashes that have a massive amount of hair? Mascara just doesn't do that! Believe me... I know from first hand experience. I have the mascara they were advertising. Now I didn't buy it because of the commercial, I brought it because it was on sale and I couldn't find the one I normally buy.
Answer: IT DOESN'T!

Sam... Again
Picture this:
You are sitting in your arm chair, but not sitting correctly. You are sitting with your back against one of the arms and your legs over the other. OK, now you are unbelievably comfortable, then BAM your onto annoyed. This is a daily occurrence for me... my wonderful dog Sam, loves to have his back scratched (like all dogs), but I don't always like to scratch his back. So with my legs hanging over the edge he has found a way to scratch his own back! He gets under your heel and walks back and forth scratching his own back. Back and forth, back and forth, then he turns his head and looks at you with his mouth partially open. All I can think when he does this is that he is thinking "Boy, this is the life!", then you get annoyed so you move your feet and get out of your comfortable position and move into a more traditional position with your legs and back in the correct position. Sam looks at you like "What?". He is one wonderfully charming dog that gets on your nerves with his decisive back scratching technique.

Crazy?!
Am I crazy???
I'm 27 and planning on having my wisdom teeth removed!
I've been talking about having it done for so long now and I feel as though the time is right. I'm just nervous its going to hurt and I'm going to be a pain in my own butt during recovery. (I'm all alone... lol) I heard you can hear it when they are pulling them out... ew! I will hopefully be allowed to have music planning via my zune, so that might help drown out the ripping/tearing bone crunching sound I might be hearing. Doesn't that sound awful?... Bone crunching... it sounds so friggin' painful!

Another Spider Dream
I had another awful spider/tarantula dream. I wrote about another dream I had recently which had spiders, but I understood what that one meant. This one was very different from the others and I have no idea what it means.
OK... I dreamt that someone I've never met before and his wife came by to my house, but it was a house I've never been in, and the husband brought his tarantula. This wasn't a typical brown tarantula, it was black with white, and disgustingly big and hairy! At the end of the dream he said it was French, I don't know if France has tarantulas, let alone ones that look like this one. Anyhow... the spider was kept in a glass tank, like a fish tank that had a handle on the top so he could carry it around but the top was open with a stick the spider could walk up and down, and the husband took this everywhere. He would take the spider out and carry it around on his hand and pet and play with it. He asked me if I wanted to hold it and I said "NO!". He left the room as I was sitting at my desk with work to do, and when I closed the door he put the spider on the floor outside the door, under the door was about an inch gap, and the spider walked in. I got up and ran away, but that sucker was FAST... he followed me outside, jumping up trying to land on me, but I kept running and I ended up heading back to my office where I had left a candle burning. I had lost the spider, so I sat down and went back to work. The little bugger had found me and when he jumped he was coming straight for me, I got up to back away, and he jumped through the flame and was ignited. He ended up being burnt to death... I was NOT saving it! I had to tell the husband his spider committed suicide, and that is how I said it to him. He then got up and started saying something about "stupid French thing", I'm not exactly certain on that, but I'm not sure its important for my interpretation. He then showed me the pile of what was left of the spider which was a round white sticky ball, which after being burned made no sense, but whatever. I then left the house and ended up walking through knee deep greenery. I then woke up.
I'm not entirely sure what to think (I know it reads crazy), I don't know if it means, I'm going to meet someone I don't particularly want to meet and things aren't going to work out with our friendship. That someone I know who is clingy, if our friendship is going to crash and burn. Or the worst one is that someone is going to die. That they are literally going to crash and burn, and the clingy spider is just the way of the person. It really didn't seem or feel like the spider wanted to hurt me, more like it just wanted to be friends with me, but I was too scared to allow it. The way it died feels symbolic to me for some reason.
Usually when I dream of the spiders there are 3, and each spider represents something, this one was so different! It didn't try to bite me, it didn't web me, it just wanted to jump on me to "hang out". But every time I dream of spiders it refers to a relationship, and a decision I have to make. This one the decision seems to already have been made. Like I don't have a choice in the situation. Thats why it felt like someone might die, because there is nothing I can do to help.
Hopefully I'll figure it out soon enough!

Kookaburra
Next was the "Bird Sanctuary", which I must add is actually pretty good. They had one of my favourite birds.. the Kookaburra. Kookaburras are native to my home country of Australia and we say that if you hear two Kookaburras laugh at the same time then it is going to rain. (I can never remember if that is true or not.) The don't chirp like normal birds, these birds are originals, they laugh. I'm not kidding!!! If you don't believe me you can view the laughing at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0ZbykXlg6Q

Just Chillin'
We also viewed the Primates which I think are Ji's favourites. Before we entered the Zoo I asked her what her favourite Zoo animal was, and she answered with Dog. But, she may have changed her mind once we saw the Primates. I don't know what sort the one in the pic is called, but it was sooooo cute. It looked so relaxed! We then came across some turtles/tortoise, (I can't tell the difference), one was actually moving pretty fast for a slow creature.
Diamond Head
Also, at Honolulu Zoo you get a pretty nice view of Diamond Head. I think we started to make plans on climbing it. I've climbed it twice before but Ji never has and I think she'd enjoy it. I mean the walk up is KILLER in my opinion, but so worth it once you reach the top. Then you (I) run or walk, whichever you prefer, down the mountain and get yourself a snow cone. The snow cones really are the only reason for climbing the mountain!!! They are DELICIOUS.

Sam the Siren
Holy Crap... I thought the tsunami, cyclone, hurricane whatever alarm was going off here in Hawaii. It sounded like it! High pitched droning sound that I thought would never end... I turned to look out the door, because thats what we do when alarms go off apparently, only to realise it was Sam my dog. He was dreaming and something in his dream made him feel that way and he had to release the drone/moan to the world. The worst part is he matched the sound perfectly... I mean he does some weird stuff, burping being his favourite, but still... that is the sort of noise he has NO right knowing!
OK, I'm calm now...
I think.
