Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to ME! I can't believe I'm 27 today... its sad to say that I feel old, when in reality I'm still rather young. I've started to notice lines around my eyes and I'm trying really hard not to be vain about it. It sooo isn't like me to care to much about my appearance, I always so "As long as I'm comfy that's all that matters", so I'm going to try real hard to not let it bother me. I mean they're only noticeable if I'm smiling, so I'll just cut smiling out of my life and all should be good. Perhaps that's why Victoria Beckham (sp?) doesn't smile, she doesn't want the world to see her crows feet!!! Anyhow...

Mascara Commercials

I was watching TV last night, which in itself is a rarity, and a mascara commercial came on. The commercial was stating that if you buy this product your eyelashes will look like false lashes. Now they show the woman's, I'm sorry models, eyelashes before and after. OK, if mascara not only made your eyelashes double in amount and grow in length women everywhere would be using this product!!!!

Question: How does mascara do that?

So... I'm sitting, watching, and thinking! (Dangerous!) Do the producers of this commercial honestly believe that we don't know that the before shot is of women with "normal" false eyelashes on, and that the after shot is of the woman with the false lashes that have a massive amount of hair? Mascara just doesn't do that! Believe me... I know from first hand experience. I have the mascara they were advertising. Now I didn't buy it because of the commercial, I brought it because it was on sale and I couldn't find the one I normally buy.

Answer: IT DOESN'T!

Sam... Again

Picture this:

You are sitting in your arm chair, but not sitting correctly. You are sitting with your back against one of the arms and your legs over the other. OK, now you are unbelievably comfortable, then BAM your onto annoyed. This is a daily occurrence for me... my wonderful dog Sam, loves to have his back scratched (like all dogs), but I don't always like to scratch his back. So with my legs hanging over the edge he has found a way to scratch his own back! He gets under your heel and walks back and forth scratching his own back. Back and forth, back and forth, then he turns his head and looks at you with his mouth partially open. All I can think when he does this is that he is thinking "Boy, this is the life!", then you get annoyed so you move your feet and get out of your comfortable position and move into a more traditional position with your legs and back in the correct position. Sam looks at you like "What?". He is one wonderfully charming dog that gets on your nerves with his decisive back scratching technique.
